Pages: merge/split
Reordering, merging and splitting pages
Manage PDF pages in blupdf: reorder and delete pages, merge several documents into one, split a document into parts, and understand page limits per plan.

The page panel on the left of the editor shows every page of the open document as a thumbnail. From there you can change the order, remove pages, bring pages in from other documents and split a document into several files — without leaving the editor or losing the edits you have made.
Reorder and delete pages
Drag a thumbnail up or down to move a page. Select several pages with Shift-click or ⌘/Ctrl-click and drag them together. To delete, select and press Delete or use the panel's trash button; deleted pages can be restored with Undo until you export.
Reordering and deleting within one document are free — they do not consume credits.
Merge documents
Choose Add pages in the page panel and pick another document from your dashboard, or upload a new file. Its pages are appended at the end (or after the selected page, if one is selected), and you can then drag them anywhere. The source document is left untouched.
Merged pages keep their own size and orientation, so a landscape appendix stays landscape. Text blocks on merged pages are editable like any others once the source has been parsed.
Split a document
Select the pages you want to extract and choose Split to new document. blupdf creates a new document containing those pages and, if you tick Remove from original, deletes them from the current one. Repeat to break a long file into chapters, or to send only the relevant pages of a report.
Page limits per plan
Each plan sets a maximum number of pages per document, checked at upload and after a merge:
| Plan | Pages per document | File size |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 | 10 MB |
| Starter | 50 | 50 MB |
| Pro | 200 | 150 MB |
| Business | 1,000 | 500 MB |
If a merge would exceed the limit, blupdf tells you before anything changes. See pricing for plan details.
Credits
Moving pages between documents — merging in or splitting out — costs 10 credits per page moved. Reordering and deleting inside a document are free. Pages brought in from a document that was never parsed are parsed on arrival (50 credits per digital page, 80 per scanned page). Export is 20 credits per page of the exported document.
